According to Jahoda, experimental methods are a test of hypothesis. According to Festinger and Katz, essence of experiment may be defined in observing the effect of dependent variable on manipulation of independent variable.
According to Eysenck, experiment is a planned manipulation of variables for observation process, at least one of the variables is altered under predetermined condition of experiment
