  • Speed is defined as the distance covered per unit time.
  • It is recorded in terms of meter per seconds.
  • Speed may also be defined as the ability to execute motor action (movement) in sports.
  • Under given condition within minimum possible time.
  • Speed is in fact the capacity of an individual to perform successive movements at a fast rate w. r. t same pattern.
  • It is one of the important conditional ability and it depends upon the nervous system of the body.
