  • Due to the policies of Muhammad Tughluq revolt broke out in various provinces.
  • Among them, the revolt of the Bahmani kingdom was the most prominent one.
  • With time, the relations between the foreign nobles and the Sultan began to worsen with the passage of time. Hence, Qutlugh Khan, who was appointed Subedar with the title of Ala-ul-Mulk, raised the standard of revolt with the help of his supporters.
  • The revolt was led chiefly by two persons, Hasan Gangu and Ismail Makh.
  • Muhammad-bin-Tughluq reached Deogiri and crushed the revolt mercilessly but Ismail Khan and Hasan Gangu fled away from the scene.
