  • Differences between Buddhism and Hinduism
    • Hinduism believes in God, matter and soul and considers God is the creator of the universe. Buddhism believes in matter and soul and there is no place for God. The spirit of God as creator is simply ignored.
    • Hinduism considers the Vedas as divine and the Vedic rituals as a necessity for salvation. However, Buddhism denies the authority of the Vedas and has absolutely no faith in the efficacy of the sacrifices or the Yajnas or Samskaras. More emphasis is put on right conduct. Hinduism is a martial religion. Buddhism puts emphasis on Ahimsa. It stands for a policy of peace and not of war.
