Passage

A prisoner named Michael Darnay was a young man of around twenty-five. He was tall and handsome, plainly dressed in dark grey, with his dark hair tied back with a ribbon. Though no one in the court had any doubt that he found guilty and condemned to a harsh death, the young man watched all that went on with a grave interest. Only when his eyes rested on Dr. Manette and his daughter, his expression changed.
