Advance Authorisation Scheme

Edit

Under Advance Authorization Scheme (AAS) , exporter can import raw-materials and related inputs under 100% duty exemption schemes. The importer has to approach DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade) who is the licensing authority under this category. Government fixes value addition as per the standard input-output norms. Once the exporter fulfils the export obligation with the licensing authority, the exporter can sell the remaining production in the domestic market.

Agglomeration

Edit

Agglomeration strategy in production implies large number of units are located in a specific location. For example, the Special Economic Zones regarding exports indicates agglomeration. There are several benefits when the industrial units are located together. Provision of common facilities and infrastructure like electricity, water, banking services etc. facilitates production and exports.
