  • Andhra Pradesh: First to become on the basis of SRC in 1956. Andhra State Act, 1953, which formed the new State of Andhra Pradesh by separating some territory from the State of Madras. States Reorganisation Act, 1956, reorganised the boundaries of the different States. It established the new State of Kerala and merged the former States of Madhya Bharat, Pepsu, Saurashtra, Travancore-Cochin, Ajmer, Bhopal, Coorg, Kutch, and Vindhya Pradesh in other adjoining States.
