(Rhesus) Rh Blood Groups

  • This discovered by Landsteiner and Weiner in 1940 and found in the blood of Rhesus monkey. Based on the presence or absence of Rh antigen, Rh positive or negative blood can be recognized. If agglutination is occur these are Rh positive (+) and the serum does not contain no Rh antibody and no agglutination occur these are called Rh (-) negative and serum not have antibody. The Rh blood groups system has not been detected in tissues than the RBCs.
