This Article was amended by the Constitution (Fifteenth Amendment) Act 1963.

  • It will be necessary for the Chief Justice to obtain the previous consent of the President before inviting any such person to act as a judge of the Supreme Court.
  • But there can be no compulsion on the retired judges to accept the invitation.
