In 1958, Robert Tannenbaum and Warren H. Schmidt gad developed leadership style, in the form of continuum/scale or continuing effort. Later, some change was made in this style in 1973 and the effect of organizational and social environment on leadership was given importance, in it. Based on above diagram, it may be said that this leadership style, the behavior of the leader may speed, from being ‘boss oriented’ to ‘subordinate oriented’ . The leadership style of the first edge may be termed, autocratic or work oriented and the leadership style of the last edge may be termed as democratic or rein free.
