France gave concepts of geography just after Germany. While Germans were new scholars, French were traditional scholars associated with Paul Vidal de la Blache who established entire generation of geographers in France. He is thus called founder of human geography. His followers contributed to regional, human, historical, political, and colonial geography. Some of the major geographers were- Be Blanchard, Gallois, Maximilien Sorre, Rene Musset, and Andre Cholley.
