Boundaries
Boundaries are the outer limits of area under sovereign control of a given states. For sovereignty, territorial areas governed by a state must be defined. Therefore, it is not a line but a plane in which the concept is defined. Boundaries are inward oriented with manifestation of centripetal forces are dividing factor. Note that boundaries are usually placed within the frontiers, but the two are very distinct concepts. Frontier is the zone between the two states that is under pressure from both states. Because of this “tension” , it usually cannot be claimed by either state.
