  • F. H. Sanford is the propounded of follower theory of leadership. He is of the view that existence of follower is essential for being the leader. They cannot exist without the followers. The followers recognize that person, as his leader, who takes utmost interest in fulfillment of the needs of the followers, like those of their livelihood, security, and social and emotional development, etc. and cooperates them, well.
