Guru Amar Das Ji

  • On April 5,1470, Guru Amar Das was born at Basarka village, Amritsar district. Bhai Tej Bhan was his father and Mata Lakhmi was his mother. He was the eldest son of his parent. Ishar Das, Khem Rai, and Manak Chand were his brothers.

Martyrdom of Guru Arjan

  • Until leaving for Lahore, his son was named by the Guru, Har Gobind as his successor. He took with him five Bhai Bidhi Chand, Sikhs, Bhai Piara Bhai Jetha, Bhai Langaha, and Bhai Pirana.
  • Adi Granth՚s compilation was seen as a significant blow to many faiths and Jahangir and he wanted Guru to alter some of the Adi Granth՚s hymns.
