Introduction

To enable social processes of change, it is essential to have social mobility and forces which motivate mobility. These social movements are organizational structures and strategies that empower oppressed populations to resist more powerful and advantaged elites. According to Herbert Blumer (1957) , social movement is a collective enterprise to establish a new social order of life.

Examples of social movements include women՚s movement, the ecology movement, peace movements etc.
