Theories of Emotion: Motivational Theory


Motivational Theory

This theory was propounded by R. W. Leepes who believed that the emotional activities are as important as motivational activities.

Sympathetic ANS can perform difficult jobs and parasympathetic ANS can consume bodily changes and maintain balance. Bodily changes help to adjust to emotional situations.

Criticism of Motivational Theory

It applies when emotion is average but when emotion is high it is difficult to adjust to situations.
