Teacher’s Role in Teaching Child with Learning Difficulties

The teachers, while teaching may experience certain difficulties in teaching the disabled students in a class of normal students. If the teacher plans certain ways, it is not difficult to teach them. It is only her perspective of teaching, how she adjusts the curriculum, manages the class and uses the properties given to her, so that the disabled student gets a chance of studying properly and understanding.

Special concessions are given to the disabled by the GOI in some areas.

  • Travel: 75 % discount is given to disabled on travel by railways in all classes and 50 % on season tickets, provided that disabled person produces a valid Certificate of Disability. The person accompanying the disabled is also given discount. Indian Airlines give concession of 50 % to the visually impaired people and people with loco motor disability.
