America’s foster-care system shows statistics of around 440000 children, of which 20000 can be adopted. Of these children, majority is of the children lying in age-groups of 6 - 12 years. Other statistics show that the adoptable children consist of 44 % white and 43 % black children. Those 67 % families who want to adopt children are white and wish to adopt black children. The situation gets fine when it is noticed that only three US StatesArkansas, California and Minnesota have laws promoting race matching in adoptions, 40 other favor the practice.
