Frustration

Motivated behavior frequently fails to achieve objective due to blockage especially when arousal level is high. This might be because of poor performance in such a state of high arousal when a person reacts to stimuli and responds to it in an exaggerated or disorganized manner. Optimum level of arousal is necessary to initiate and be successful in any activity. Under intermediate-level arousal, performance is the best. Person who is not sufficiently aroused tends to seek stimulation that will increase the level of arousal. An aroused person should seek peace and quiet for reducing stimulation.
